6 Must Eat BBQ Joints on Your RV Road Trip

If you’re anything like us, an RV road trip feels incomplete without stopping for great food. What better food to enjoy, especially during your summertime expeditions, than some good ol’ fashioned BBQ? Below are 6 of our favorite BBQ joints across the United States that you can savor on your next RV journey.

1. Rudy’s “Country Store” Bar-B-Q

We’re a huge fan of Rudy’s not only for the amazing taste, but the story they tell and feelings you get eating there. You stroll through their cafeteria-esque line and pile up delicious, slow-smoked BBQ. Rudy’s menu is simple, but perfected. While enjoying your meal at a picnic table of your choosing, try their famous “Sause” and even take some home with you! Learn more about Rudy's here.

2. The Shed Barbeque & Blues Joint [Ocean Springs, MS]

The Shed prides itself on their tried and trued BBQ recipes. This is a “down-home joint for barbecue & weekend blues in junkyard, shack-like digs with string lights & bar.” If that sounds like your flavor, you have to stop by The Shed. Learn more about The Shed here.

3. The Joint [New Orleans, LA]

If you want to enjoy some authentic smokin’ BBQ right in the heart of New Orleans, this is the place for you. The Joint has been in top 10 BBQ lists in publications from Bon Appétit to Zagat, plus it was featured in Guy Fieri’s Food Network program “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives”, so you know it’s legit! Learn more about The Joint here.

4. Feast BBQ [Louisville, KY]

Feast features yet another simple, but perfected menu of savory, slow-cooked BBQ. Feast strives to “produce the most consistent smoked meats possible and scratch made sides” through their passion for BBQ. Learn more about Feast here.

5. Tom Jenkins’ Bar-B-Q [Fort Lauderdale, FL]

Tom Jenkins’ BBQ offers a simple, classic BBQ eating experience: picnic tables, Southern-style BBQ ribs, chicken, and soul-food sides.
