STOPPING DISTANCE Stopping without an auxiliary braking system increases your stopping stances dramatically. For example: a motorhome weight 20,000 lbs pulling a car weighing 3,800 lbs add 10 feet per 10 mph. |
When going down long inclines, it's difficult to keep the brakes cool in the motor home. The RVibrake keeps the weight of the towed vehicle from pushing against the motor home. Without the use of the RVibrake the towed vehicle increases the temperature of the motor home brakes which can lead to expensive brake repairs and safety. |
BREAKAWAY If in a situation the dingy gets loose from the motor home, the Breakaway System |
STABILITY & BETTER BRAKE CONTROL ANTI-DIVING: When braking without a braking system, the towed vehicle is pushing the towbar in an upward direction, lifting the rear end of the motor home. This causes the front end to dive and make unstable steering and control. In addition, it can increase the rear wheels to slide under slippery conditions. |
