1970’s - Tow Bar Systems are invented allowing vehicles to be towed on all fours.

Dan & Dan Brakebuddy Prototype1994 - State by State laws enforcing the use of auxiliary braking systems, the market was in need of an easy-to-use auxiliary braking system. Dan Decker and his father introduced the Brakebuddy auxiliary braking system into the market. The Brakebuddy was the first portable braking system for towed vehicles. At the time, towing a vehicle behind a motorhome was beginning to become popular.

2004 - After a successful run for over 10 years, Dan Decker sells Brakebuddy to private investment company.

2006 - Over the next 5 years, due to a non-compete contract, Dan turned his passion for innovating into developing several other aftermarket RV products such as the RV EzLevel and the RV AwningClamp. These products debuted under his other label, RVinnovations.

RVi into the light

August, 2011
- Danko Mfg. introduces the RVibrake Auxiliary Braking System, the first portable braking system to Auto Position itself into place by using the floorboard instead of the seat cushion.

January, 2012 - Danko Mfg. decides to start selling through distribution to reach more customers.

RVi2 TPMS
March, 2013
- Only a year and a half after introducing the original RVibrake, the RVibrake team launches the RVibrake2 Auxiliary Braking System. The RVibrake2 is the most advanced and easiest to use braking system on the market. Boasting a new, sleeker design, the RVibrake2 is even more user friendly and features tire pressure monitoring compatibility with RVibrake’s own Tire Pressure Sensors.

December, 2013 - In an effort to develop better relationships with their dealers, Danko Mfg. decides to return to selling Dealer Direct.

December, 2013 - Danko Mfg. launches the Towed Battery Charger. The first charge line for the towed vehicle to charge up to 15-amps, give feedback on it’s status, and installs in less than 15 minutes.

- RVi builds its 5,000th brake.
